SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF. – Attorney Karen Gjerdum Fothergill has been named a Principal at local law firm Andre, Morris & Buttery (AMB). Fothergill is a Santa Maria native who joined AMB as an associate in 2007. She works in the firm’s Environmental and Land Use, Business and Real Estate Transactions, Wine and Agribusiness, and Civil Litigation practice groups.

“Over the last seven years, Karen has distinguished herself with her talents as an attorney and with her deep community knowledge in real estate and agriculture,” said AMB Managing Principal Kathryn M. Eppright. “We are delighted to welcome her as an AMB Principal.”

With her advancement, Fothergill will play an expanded role in client service in northern Santa Barbara County and will provide oversight to the firm’s associate lawyers and legal staff.

Fothergill received her undergraduate degree from Vassar and earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005. She is admitted to practice in all California state courts and Federal Court for the Central District courts of California. She holds memberships in the Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association, San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
