The attorneys in the Employment Law Practice Group specialize in assisting clients in taking preventive measures to avoid or minimize employment disputes, and if necessary, efficiently resolve litigation. To this end, the Employment Law Practice Group is comprised of both transactions lawyers who can draft employment agreements, policies and contracts designed to protect businesses against employment claims, as well as skilled trial attorneys experienced in employment litigation and defense of civil and administrative claims involving employment disputes
The services offered by the Employment Law Practice Group include:- Defending discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation and other employment law claims;
- Responding to and preparing for investigations by governmental agencies, such as the California Labor Commissioner, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, EEOC, OSHA and Cal-OSHA, and U.S. Department of Labor;
- Providing counseling on such issues as terminations, wage and hour issues, employee discipline, disability and leave of absence issues;
- Drafting employee handbooks, statements of policy, employment contracts and severance agreements;
- Conducting on-site investigations of sexual harassment and other employee claims;
- Training.
The Employment Law Practice Group's Focus is on providing services designed to protect our clients from costly employment claims and resolving employment disputes as quickly and efficiently as possible.
